Lake Elbert is a medium sized lake off the chain that is spring fed. There is a public boat launch on the northern side of the lake across from Polk State College. A smaller area "little Elbert" opens up to the Southwest. many Bass fisherman pull nice fish from these waters. Elbert offers wildlife viewing, fishing and recreational paddling.
